An Audience With Boz

This performance recreates for modern audiences the astoundingly successful public readings of extracts from his own writings that Dickens presented from 1853 until his death in 1870. He would recite long passages of prose, with powerful portraits of his classic characters.
Roger selects some of these, in shorter form, at a replica of Dickens’ own reading table.
