Folk tales contain the essence of a region’s culture. Storytelling is well established in the USA. In 1993 Roger first shared his love of British folk tales with students at Potomac State University WV.. A venue can choose which tales they would like to have from a menu sent in advance. Roger, who won a dialects prize at the R.A.D.A., is a master of British accents.
Some stories relate to traditional songs, which are taught to the audience, eg. “Maybe It’s Because I’m a Londoner”; “On Ilkley Moor Bar T’at”; “Widecombe Fair”. Roger also uses British flags to illustrate the complexity of the UK flag, the Union Jack.
